What you can do

Interactive information kiosks made easy

What you can do

Edit, deploy and run information kiosk content with TouchPresenter

Infotain your customers and visitors

When customers come to your place of business, they are already focused on your products and services. Make use of this opportunity and offer useful information for learning and decision making.

Any content you feel a customer might find helpful while at your premises should go into the information kiosk. Customers will browse through the kiosk, select topics of interest and may even email PDF documents to themselves or follow a call-to-action. The benefits of information kiosks are manifold. Offering 24/7 accessible information shows customers you care - a win-win situation for all parties.

Building an information kiosk

Four easy steps from start to finish

Create - Edit Mode

Typically, information kiosk content is created on your computer where you have easy access to all documents, image and multimedia files. Start with the home page, add navigation, add more pages. Link to PDF documents, websites, videos, slide shows...

Preview

In between adding more pages, check your creations, test all linked content, proof-read for spelling errors, set appropriate time-outs, optionally schedule certain content by date and time. Leave nothing unchecked for a smooth customer experience.

Publish - Deployment

When ready, publish (deploy) the finished information kiosk content via network, manually, or for the highest degree of deployment automation, add TouchPresenter's sister product, Infopacer, to publish and synchronize future content updates.

Display - Play mode

Run the kiosk on autoplay around the clock. As is true for all electronic content, it is easy to update kiosks at any time. Check with kiosk statistics which content is viewed the most. Add a survey to learn what else customers would like to find on your kiosk.

The Three Modes of TouchPresenter

Purpose-dedicated features to get your kiosk up and running

Edit Mode

Offers two basic ways of how to build kiosk content: Design a page directly from within TouchPresenter or create each page outside of TouchPresenter, then import and apply touchactive zones and action links.

Deploy Mode

Once all work is done and tested, the final project can be sent to one or multiple kiosks with a variety of online and offline methods: Manually, via network, via remoting, or via TouchPresenter's Infopacer cloud services.

Run Mode [Kiosk Mode]

As soon as the administrator starts the project, TouchPresenter takes over the screen. It then runs in full screen mode until stopped by authorized personnel. The Run Mode [Kiosk Mode] is suitable for unmonitored self-service.

Powerful action features you can use to bring your kiosk to life

Passive content

Videos, presentations, slide shows, audio, and images are considered passive content. They do not require interaction. A typical information kiosk consists of a mix of passive and active content.

Active content

For example, links containing web forms, call-to-action buttons, PDF-documents emailing to self, and links are considered active content where the user needs to do something to get to engage with something else.

Branding

You can customize your kiosk pages to your likings to support your brand, corporate design, and themes. There are no software- side limitations. Your graphics department can deliver all pages ready to be linked together.

Navigation

Navigation can consist of one or multiple navigation layers, depending on the amount of content, and diversity of pages offered. Typically, large buttons are used to help kiosk users navigate the contents of informational touch screen kiosks.

Deployment

TouchPresenter gives you several options how to publish content to your kiosk(s)

No connection

If there is no network or internet connection, manual deployment via portable memory devices is acceptable.

Network deployment

For one kiosk or a small number of kiosks, network deployment is a fast and easy way to publish or update kiosk content.

Cloud deployment

The most efficient way to publish kiosk content for multiple kiosk rollouts is cloud deployment. Cloud deployment also has the advantage to synchronize content. Kiosk owners needing to perform frequent updates can benefit from cloud deployment as well.

Remoting software

If you own remoting software, this is another fast and efficient way to bring content from the designer computer to the kiosk(s).

Play Mode

Inform, present, promote 365/24/7 on demand

Full screen

By default, TouchPresenter occupies the entire real-estate of the touch screen display, and runs on top of the desktop, and other applications.

Passcode protected

Administrators can set passwords to protect against tampering of the kiosk application as well as stopping and exiting TouchPresenter.

All content on demand

Unless schedules have been set to play specific portions of the content at particular times, all kiosk content is always accessible.

Scheduled content on demand

For businesses with changing content needs dependent on the time of the day, some of the content can be scheduled to play at certain times.
